ITV’s Lorraine Show

We’re still pinching ourselves after our amazing interview with Lorraine Kelly on the set of her ITV show ‘Lorraine’ on Wednesday morning (19th April). We were invited on to talk about our new book, ‘From Me, To You’ - all as part of their No Butts Campaign for Bowel Cancer Awareness month.

You can watch our co-founders, Alison and Brian, talking to Lorraine about the book and the story that started it all in full here. Or take a look at our little montage of the best day ever below.

Lorraine loved what we had created with the book and the charity and later Tweeted ‘Loved meeting these two wonderful people and what an incredible story - the book is brilliant’. We were absolutely delighted with this endorsement and the book climbed up the Amazon top 100 paperbacks list as a result of the show airing.

A national TV interview like this doesn’t come round very often (especially for a small charity like us), so we are still on cloud nine. For us, it was more than promoting the book; it gave us a platform to reach people facing cancer who didn’t know that we existed until seeing the show.

No sooner had the interview started, we received multiple sign ups for our Donate A Letter and Receive A Letter programmes - meaning we’re now reaching (and soon to be supporting) more people with our letters. This makes us so happy!

If you watched the show and want to get involved in our work, we’d love to hear from you. We have all the guidance and support available to help you write letters - to a stranger, or someone you know who’s facing cancer. It all starts with a Hello…

As well as selling our books, we’re also fundraising to donate our books to cancer centres and hospitals across the UK. Just £6 will get a book into the hands of someone who might benefit from reading it. If you’re in a position to help us with this, thank you so much.
