Come and Meet Us This Summer: Upcoming FMTY Events

One of the questions we're asked most often is whether we have any events happening around the country where supporters can come along, meet the team, and get involved in person.

We're delighted to say that this summer is our busiest yet, with Community Ambassadors, Trustees, volunteers and supporters hosting and attending events across the UK. Whether you'd like to try letter writing for the first time, meet fellow supporters, enjoy a family day out, or simply stop by and say hello, we'd love to see you.

Here are some of the events we have coming up over the next few months.

Greggfest – Southampton | 20th June

We're delighted to have been chosen as one of the Gregg School's charities to benefit from their summer event, Greggfest.

Our Chairman, Ed, and Trustee, Kareena, will be there with a stall and letter-writing station, and we'd love you to come along if you're local. It's set to be a fantastic family-friendly event with entertainment throughout the day and evening, while raising valuable funds for good causes.

On Paper Festival – Bath | 20th June

For the second year running, we are thrilled to be the chosen charity partner of the On Paper Festival in Bath.

If you love stationery, paper goods, writing and creativity, this is a wonderful event to attend. Trustees Liz and Anne will be there with a large letter-writing area and would love to meet fellow letter writers and supporters.

Letter Writing Workshop – Bracknell | 23rd June

Our Volunteer Coordinator, Lily, together with volunteer letter reader Adele, has organised a friendly and welcoming letter-writing session in Bracknell.

Whether you've never written a letter for us before or you're already a regular writer, everyone is welcome. It's a lovely opportunity to write together, share ideas and meet others who support From Me to You.

Guided Postal Walk – London | 24th June

Join our stationery-loving Trustee Liz for a fascinating guided tour of London's postboxes, organised in partnership with the Postal Museum.

This 90-minute walk promises plenty of postal history, good company and a chance to connect with fellow supporters. More details will be announced soon.

And yes, there is every possibility that Liz may be dressed as a postbox!

Duston Fun Day – Northampton | 28th June

Community Ambassador Jane has secured From Me to You a stall at Duston Fun Day, and she'd love supporters to come along and say hello.
Duston Parish Council has supported our work for many years and their events are always packed with activities and community spirit. If you're local and would like to help Jane on the stall, please get in touch.

FMTY Summer Picnic – Wisbech | 13th August

Following the success of last year's event, Community Ambassador Rodelle is once again hosting a From Me to You Summer Picnic in Wisbech.

Last year's picnic brought together supporters, local residents and performers for a wonderful day of community fundraising and awareness raising. We'd love you to save the date and join us this August.

More details will be shared nearer the time, but if you'd like to help Rodelle with the event, we'd be delighted to hear from you.

We'd Love to See You!

Our community events are a wonderful way to meet fellow supporters, Community Ambassadors, volunteers and members of the From Me to You team. They help us spread kindness, raise awareness of our work, and bring together people who care about making a difference to those facing cancer.

If you're local to any of these events, please do come along and introduce yourself. And if you'd like to organise your own fundraising or community event for From Me to You, we'd love to hear from you and help spread the word through our supporter network and social media channels.
