Welcoming new faces to our Board of Trustees

In a very timely fashion, we’re incredibly excited to announce two new members to the Board of Trustees at From Me to You as Trustee Week opens!

Joining Brian Greenley (Chair/Co-Founder), Alison Hitchcock (Co-founder), Pamela Thomson-Hall, and Frankie Smith, Anne and Liz will make incredible additions to the Board and the future of our charity.

Anne James

Anne previously held the position of Chair of the Board of Trustees for Restore, the mental health charity based in Oxfordshire. With over ten years on the Board of Trustees at Restore, one of the UKs longest-established and highly regarded community rehabilitation services, Anne has a vast experience working in the mental health and charity sector.

Anne’s focus now she’s involved with FMTY is on expanding and developing the future of our charity.

'I feel very privileged to have been invited to become a Trustee of From Me to You. I both enjoy writing and believe strongly in the power of the written word, and to that end I greatly enjoyed my fifteen or so years as one of The Oxford Times' arts reviewers. I am looking forward to writing letters as part of From Me to You.’

Liz Kentish

Liz’s career experience has been built up in companies including Renault, Reliance, John Laing and London Transport, before she started her own business Kentish and Co in 2008. Starting her company up alone, it is now a global brand and it is this commercial and knowledge of growth and development that she brings to the From Me to You Board. A self-confessed stationery addict, Liz says that

“Aged 13, I started writing to pen pals I met through a music magazine, and later rediscovered my love for handwritten letters in August 2019, when I met Dinah Johnson (THLAS). Through Dinah I found From Me To You, at a time when three close friends had been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. From them, I know the power of letters.”

Working predominantly in the facilities management sector, and an expert in behavioural change, Liz has also supported the industry as Chair, NED and Committee member, whilst also having spent four years as a member of the development board at her old school – supporting (from a business viewpoint) their efforts to create bursaries and other fundraising.

We’re thrilled that Anne and Liz have been able to join us, and we can’t wait to start working together on the future of From Me to You.
