The Happy Box is filled with letters of love, kindness and smiles donated by writers from around the world, all hoping to brighten your day. You can dip in to take a letter whenever you need a boost.

How the Happy Box works

When you are living with cancer we know you can often feel isolated and alone regardless of the support around you. We hope a friendly card or letter, with no reply needed, can brighten your day and help you feel connected to a world beyond your illness.

All you need to do is complete the form below, telling us how often you’d like to receive a letter - perhaps just the once, or every month, or whenever you need a bit of extra support. The letters will cost you nothing.

We will post a letter out to you, no one will have your details apart from us, and no one expects a reply. If you want to write back, we instead ask that you write a letter for Donate A Letter which will be sent on to another cancer patient. Let us know and we’ll send you a letter-writing kit.

Why the Happy Box is important

Knowing that someone is thinking of you, sending you something to distract you if only for a moment can make a world of difference. But we want to make it easy for those living with cancer to ask for a letter. Here Amelia tells us why it can be hard to ask those already supporting us to ask for more. If this is you, or someone you know, we want to help by sending a letter from our Happy Box.

So, dip into our Happy Box here or if you want to receive a letter (or 2 or 3 or more) or if you'd like to write a letter to be put into the Happy Box, then please sign up here.

Thank you
