Every month we receive over 100 letters from all over the world.
We want to inspire more people to write and join our community.
Many of our writers tell us how much they get out of the letter-writing process and everyone seems to write for different reasons.
Over the next months we want to share some of these motivations, thoughts and inspirations.
We would love you to join in and tell us why you write letters.
How to get involved
You can either video, audio record or write a few lines on why you write, whichever you feel most comfortable to do, and email it over.
Hearing your voices will be incredibly powerful so the more videos and audios we have the better but please tell us in whatever way inspires you.
Film either yourself or a scene or perhaps even you writing, with your voice telling us your first name and why you write.
Email the video over to me or to firstname.lastname@example.org
You can easily record yourself on your phone, telling us your first name and why you write, and email over the recording to me or to email@example.com
From an android phone
Select a free app like "voice recorder" from the options available in the Play Store
Click "install" to install the voice recorder. Click "Open" when you are ready to begin recording.
Hit the "record" button with the red dot to start recording. …
Click the red button again to stop recording
From an iPhone
Open the “Voice Memos” app located on the iPhone.
Tap the red record button to start recording the voice or audio, when finished tap again on the same button to stop recording.
Write a line, a paragraph or a page on why you write. The length is completely up to you, and email it over to me or to firstname.lastname@example.org
We look forward to hearing from you and thank you for being involved
