Say Hello to our new Charity Manager

Thanks to a generous donation from a corporate donor last year, we're excited to let you know that our team has grown - and we've welcomed charity pro and stationery lover, Harriet, onboard as our Charity Manager. In true From Me to You style, we'll pass over to her to write a letter to introduce herself!

Hello!

Write a letter they said....well, as many of you know, the opening line can often be the trickiest bit. But, now that I've got that out of the way, I can get on with telling you a bit about me.

As you already know - and I'm quickly becoming aware - From Me to You is a very special charity. I love the simplicity of its offering; spreading connection, kindness and joy to those who are facing the toughest of times. I also LOVE stationery - and the delight that sharing this can bring to others. 

I feel privileged to have been brought in to manage the charity and build upon the brilliant work of Alison, Brian and the team here. They have created such a wonderful organisation and I'm delighted - and excited - to be part of it.

My experience in the charity sector is in Communications, Marketing and Campaigning; raising awareness, fighting for change, and - most importantly - helping those who need it most.

Having worked for a national charity heading up their Communications team, I understand the need to raise our profile - enabling more people facing cancer to hear about us and our work. We also need to continue engaging supporters and volunteers to donate letters and to facilitate us getting them into the hands of those who need them. 

I'm determined to use my experience to help From Me to You to reach and support more people facing the isolation and loneliness that cancer can bring - and I know with the loyal supporters we already have, anything is possible.

There are exciting times ahead! Watch this space.
