New Trustees join the team

We are delighted to announce that we’ve welcomed two new Trustees onboard to help us with our work. Nicholas Lee and Lucy Hind are long-standing supporters of From Me to You and have plenty of insight and expertise to bring to the team. Let’s get to know them a bit better…

Nicholas loves writing letters and knows how powerful a letter can be in helping people to feel connected and loved.

Having lost two friends to cancer, Nicholas decided to start writing letters to support others. In doing so he discovered the wonderful community at From Me to You and was inspired further by Alison and Brian’s book.

His 1000 mile fund-raising walk for us during 2023 has enabled 250 copies of our book to be donated to cancer centres and individuals across the UK as part of our Donate A Book campaign.  He intends to continue raising funds and enabling more people to experience the joy of writing and receiving letters.

Lucy is a complete postcard addict, but also loves writing letters. She started to write after discovering the From Me to You community when she was going through cancer treatment herself and wanted to use the power of a friendly message to make others smile! 

Lucy runs the Letter Writing Club workshops with Alison and  hosts The Little Book Library to raise funds for us. Every year Lucy sets herself a new fundraising challenge to support us with our work - we wonder what she’ll do in 2024!

Both Lucy and Nicholas bring so much passion, knowledge and a huge array of skills to the table - and their commitment to help us grow and reach more people who could benefit from our letters is fantastic. We’re excited to have them onboard!
